Ward Process inc. was started by Charles Moody in Natick in
1963.
The first factory was based in the old Natick railroad station
building, which was next to a disused coal storage depot |
Which was soon refurbished in 1968
| Charles Moody had been working in the insulation business for some time and
had seen the opportunity to create a company that converted the raw materials he was
marketing into components the customers needed. As his two sons grew up they
were enlisted into the running of the company. |

| In 1972 the growth of acoustical products being made from the thermal
insulation materials was growing so much that Charles started American
Acoustical Products, a division of Ward Process inc. The Acoustical
Business has grown so well that now American Acoustical Products
represents over
75% of the business. |
